Theory and clinical applications of Oriental Medicine

DEPI-CEATA conducts research from modern databases and classic books aiming at the development and promotion of simple and accessible solutions.
Some projects that emerged from DEPI-CEATA researches in Asia and are becoming a reality in Brazil and worldwide.

All these techniques can be learned in courses at CEATA.
They are online courses during the pandemic and in person as soon as it ends.

Professional Training and Advanced Studies in Asia

Since 2005, the DEPI-CEATA promotes trips to China for professional improvement in the best Oriental Medicine hospitals in the world. We have already trained more than 400 students in courses in China.

DEPI-CEATA is a pioneer in research of new technologies applied to the teaching and practice of Acupuncture and Alternative Therapies.

Published Works

DEPI-CEATA publishes the results of its research in international conferences and has also published chapters of books and articles in foreign countries.
It also participates as a guest speaker in lectures and courses at several universities and renowned institutions in the world such as Vienna University and Sigmund Freud University (Austria), Sechenov University (Russia), Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine (South Korea), Hebei TCM University (China), etc.

DEPI-CEATA has established important international relations in the fields of academic exchange and research.
The department director, Prof. Ephraim Ferreira Medeiros, was unanimously elected in 2019 as a member of the prestigious International Academy of Sciences (Health and Ecology) based in Germany, an unprecedented achievement for Brazilian acupuncture and in 2019 received an award from the government of Macau for his contribution to the development and promotion of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Brazil and worldwide.
